What is Managing Postings & Bids?

Once you've posted freight, the real work begins — reviewing carrier bids, negotiating rates, and coordinating matches. Cargado gives you tools to handle this efficiently, from automated negotiation with Instant Response to direct messaging with carriers via Chat.

What brokers use this for:

How Brokers Manage Postings & Bids

Responding to Carrier Bids

When carriers bid on your freight, you can accept, reject, counter, or save the bid for quoting. Responding within an hour drives better carrier engagement — carriers track response times and prioritize brokers who engage quickly.

Responding to Bids

Automating Negotiation with Instant Response

Instant Response handles bidding automatically based on your target rate. It posts a "Book Now" rate, auto-accepts bids at or below your target, auto-counters bids slightly above, and auto-rejects bids far above.

Using Instant Response

Coordinating After You Match

Once you accept a bid, you'll receive an automatic email connecting you with the carrier. All relevant parties are copied — you, the carrier, and Cargado support. From there, you coordinate pickup timing, share documentation, and send rate confirmation.
