User Setup Guide

Everything you need to get started as a Cargado user — from accepting your invitation to configuring notifications and learning the platform. You'll be ready to post freight and receive bids in under 15 minutes.

What is User Setup?

User Setup is the process of activating your Cargado account and configuring your personal preferences. Your admin has already invited you — now it's time to complete your profile, secure your account, and set up notifications so you never miss a bid.

What you'll accomplish:

• Secure your account — Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) to protect your login.
• Complete your profile — Add your name, phone number, and role so carriers know who they're working with.
• Configure notifications — Choose how and when you want to be alerted about bids, matches, and marketplace activity.
• Get oriented — Understand the key workflows for posting freight and engaging with carriers.

How to Set Up Your Account

Accepting Your Invitation

Your admin will send you an invitation email from Cargado. Click the link in the email to create your account. You'll be prompted to set a password and complete the initial setup.

Securing Your Account with MFA

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required for all Cargado accounts. During setup, you'll configure MFA using an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy) or SMS verification. This adds a layer of security to protect your account and your organization's freight data.

Completing Your Profile

Your profile helps carriers and teammates identify you. Make sure to add:

• Full name — How you'll appear in bids, matches, and team activity
• Phone number — For urgent communications and WhatsApp notifications
• Role/Title — Helps carriers understand who they're working with
